Cavities & Fillings
Brushing your teeth is one of the most important and beneficial things that you can do for proper oral hygiene. Why? To prevent and avoid the dreaded cavity. Whether you’ve had a cavity or not, the more you do to maintain proper oral hygiene, the better off you will be. However, if you have come in and been told that you currently have a cavity, you are going to need a filling to remove and fix the problem. But don’t worry, this is a common problem and we know exactly what to do to provide you with a solution quickly.
Strong and lasting the test of time, composite fillings offer a variety of benefits to patients both young and old.
Using state-of-the-art dental practices, our team at White Horse Pike Family Dentistry provides superior treatment and care. If you are visiting us for a cavity, the first thing we are going to do is take an x-ray to see what tooth it is in, and where it has spread. Using advanced filling treatments, we effectively repair your decayed, cracked, or fractured tooth by removing the infected area and sealing it with a tooth colored composite solution. Because composite fillings can be matched to your natural tooth color, you do not have to worry about a noticeable difference, making them an effective treatment for teeth that are viable.
Please note that, when removing the decayed section of your tooth, you may be given a general antiseptic to numb your gums and the surrounding teeth. In doing so, you should feel no pain and only slight pressure.
If you think that you may have a cavity, do not postpone getting the treatment you need. Contact us today to schedule your appointment and let us give you a reason to smile.
